Marina in Phuket · 5 Gold Anchor Certified · Carbon-Neutral Marina
Thailand’s Leading Sustainable Marina

Sustainability is our key priority

Asia’s first and only carbon-neutral marina. We are constantly seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint and lead through sustainable operations.

The Sustainability Stories

Reducing our carbon impact, continuously

Royal Phuket Marina is constantly seeking methods to reduce its carbon impact and is very proud of its sustainable initiatives. We were the first marina in Thailand to switch to renewable solar energy, and in recent years have more than tripled our solar-generating capacity for marina operations and commercial real estate.

We are a signee of the Plastic-Free Marina Pledge by the Marina Industries Association — the first marina in Thailand to join — and the first in Thailand to install the innovative V5 Seabin. We seek partnerships with sustainable organisations such as Wawa Creations, Oceans 4 All, License To Clean and Disabled Sailing.

Our History

A road to sustainability since 2008

In 2008, Royal Phuket Marina began improving the energy efficiency of its 180 Rai / 28.8-hectare property — installing solar panels, water conservation and waste recycling, and becoming the first marina in Thailand to pledge to be single-use-plastic free. We show that working with communities, protecting the environment, and conducting business with integrity is a better, kinder way of doing business.

Solar-Powered Operations

Leading the way in solar-powered marina operations

We were the first marina in Thailand to switch to renewable solar energy, and have since more than tripled our solar-generating capacity — powering hardstand operations and the chiller systems that keep our covered dry stack climate-controlled, drawing on the Phuket sun year-round.
